Polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) blown film is a kind of packaging material with high barrier. It has the characteristics of low air permeability and moisture permeability, excellent oil and chemical resistance and good aroma retention. It is widely used in the packaging of food, drugs, electronics and instruments.

Research progress abroad

The output of PVDC resin in Japan was 250t in 1954, 10000 t in 1960 and 180000 t in 2000. Although PVDC has many advantages, its processing conditions are harsh. Only a few countries in the world have processing capacity. It is a high-tech in the plastic processing industry. The world famous PVDC blown film manufacturer and trade name are as follows: Dow Chemical Company of the United States, trade name saran; W.it.grace company of the United States, trade name gryovay: Asahi Dow Ltd. of Japan, now renamed Asahi Huacheng company, trade name: baolilun brand PVDC film; Kureha Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., trade name: Kureha LOM film. In 1989, South Korea introduced technology from the United States and began to produce PVDC film. Complete sets of PVDC film blowing equipment are sold by American paoistamd company, film aster company, Canadian micro company, German plastic maschinenbau company and British davidstandard company [1].

Domestic research progress

China has successively introduced many PVDC casing production lines from abroad: Tianjin No. 2 plastic factory has introduced a production line from micro company of Canada; Xingtai, Luoyang SISU and Handan each introduced a production line of film aster company; Shijiazhuang and Dongfeng plastic plants introduced a production line from David standard company; Henan Luohe Shuanghui introduced four British production lines; Luoyang Chundu introduced two production lines from Japan.
